Monday numbers without a shadow spreadsheet

Posted work, sales, and the figures owners already ask for on Monday — tied to the same repair orders and payments as the job board. On Pro. Not a BI suite we do not ship.

On Pro. Advanced reporting is Soon — not a sold Ultra extra today.

Insights

The Monday pack should not live in Excel

Most shop owners do not need a data science suite. They need a clean answer when someone asks what posted last week, what sold, and whether the numbers match the tickets the floor already closed. That answer too often lives in a shadow spreadsheet — exported, retyped, and already wrong by lunch.

Shop reports on Pro are the posted picture: work and money in motion that already landed on the same ROs and payments as the job board. They are not Live Ops Snapshot (that opens the day). They are not Advanced reporting (that is Soon). They are the Monday numbers without pretending we ship custom BI.

If you have ever rebuilt a “sales this week” sheet because the shop software buried reports under six menus, this page is for you. If a competitor landing sold you heatmaps and technician scorecards you will never open, this page is also for you — we will not invent those modules here.

The goal is boring in the best way: open ShopRally, see posted work and sales that match the tickets, answer the Monday question, and get back on the floor. No second login. No export → reformat → argue about whose spreadsheet is right.

What ships

What you do get

Not three interchangeable bullets. Concrete owner jobs — only labels Feature Truth locked.

  • Posted work

Work that posted against the repair orders the shop already ran — not a second ledger.

  • Sales / money in motion

Figures tied to the same payments and tickets the counter recorded.

  • Monday numbers

What posted, what moved, what the shop can stand behind without an export ritual.

That is the depth. We do not name tech scorecards, cohort builders, custom pivots, or DVI performance dashboards. If a capability is not on the ticket and the payment, it does not get a fake module name on this landing.

Owners comparing ShopRally to “reporting platforms” should leave this section clear: you get the posted pack on Pro, tied to real ROs. You do not get a science project. When you want deeper custom analytics later, that conversation lives on the Advanced reporting Soon page — muted, honest, and not sold as Ultra today.

Reports · No — Advanced is Soon

Use Snapshot when coffee is still hot. Use Shop reports when you need the posted story the spreadsheet used to fake. Both point at the same system — not a shadow workbook.

Advisors and owners often blur the two. Snapshot is “what’s open right now.” Reports are “what already posted.” Mixing them is how shops end up arguing about a live WIP count as if it were last week’s sales. Keep the jobs separate; keep the system one.

Honesty

What this is / isn’t

What you get on Pro

  • Shop reports: posted work, sales, Monday numbers tied to the same ROs and payments as the job board.
  • Honesty that Advanced reporting is later — not Ultra sold today.

What this is not

  • Not a BI suite or custom dashboard builder.
  • Not Advanced reporting sold as ready (see the Soon page — muted, no fake gallery).
  • Not QuickBooks (Elite CSV path on the QuickBooks page).
  • Not invented analytics modules or fake ROI tiles.

Integrity beats a feature grid. We would rather say what ships than fill the page with competitor-shaped charts.

Where is Advanced reporting?
On the Soon / Roadmap page. It is not a sold Ultra extra today. We will not mock dashboards we do not ship. See Advanced reporting.

Is this QuickBooks?
No. Books after close are the Elite QuickBooks CSV path. Reports stay in ShopRally for ops numbers.
